South Australia has new Skilled Occupation List

South Australia has a new Skilled Nominated Occupation List. It is effective from the 4 July 2016. The list is open to applications from all applicants. In particular for Subclass 190 Skilled Nominated Visa and 489 Skilled Regional (Provisional) Visa applicants. The workforce analysis was conducted in South Australia and the current skill shortages were listed down to work out the requirements of skilled labour in this part of the country.

It is important that the applicants who are applying for the State’s nomination hold an occupation which has been mentioned in the list. Otherwise, they can apply, if they meet the Supplementary Skilled List requirements.

Apart from fulfilling the basic occupational criterion, the applicants must also satisfy the age limit. The final decision shall be taken, keeping in mind the supply from local and international graduates along with the interstate migration. A few occupations demanded in the list include chief executives, general managers, sales and marketing managers, project builders, etc.

I am a graphic designer and my skill is on the list in South Australia. I was wondering if there are any other locations available?

      Hi Matthew,
Thanks for your comment. Graphic designers are in high demand in Australia. There are many locations where you could live and work. It depends on your qualifications and work experience and what visa you are eligible for.
